Plan Your Mission MAX Trip In Google Maps!

Pick a date after Oct. 8th for Mission MAX data to show!
Still confused about what your trip will look like when Mission MAX takes effect on Sunday, October 8th? You can now plan a future trip to see any upcoming changes to your commute!

Here's a quick rundown on how to do this via Google Maps:

Step 1: Enter your origin and final destination as you currently do.

Step 2: Instead of "Leave now," select "Depart at" from the drop down menu.

Step 3: Next, enter a date beyond October 8, 2017.

You will now see an updated map and trip options reflective of Mission MAX.

Top: Current HART commute; Bottom: Mission MAX commute

The image to the right is a comparison showing how commuting options may differ between the current network and Mission MAX.

You can see in this instance, Mission MAX shaves upwards of 14 minutes off trips for those interested in commuting from Westshore to Ybor City.

Simply enter your trip, change the date beyond October 8th, and you are all set!

Hopefully, this helps to clear up any confusion you still might have about what your commute looks like in October.

    1. What is the starting point and destination of your commute? We might be able to find a suitable alternative for you.

    2. I dont understand, you are taking route 18 away, what are you replacing it with. you have people and college students who live on livingston ave to sinclair hills that rely on this bus route. How are we going to get to work.

  2. Why does the 42 Route only go east on Bears? What if you need to go west?
There is no route from the University Transit Center to Bears Ave.
There is a whole area (Livingston, North 22nd/Bears, University Community Center) that will no longer be serviced.

    1. We are looking at tweaks for that area. In the meantime, we recommend using HART HyperLINK to connect to UATC. It's only $1 each way to UATC. More information: www.goHART.org/HyperLINK

  3. I take the 30 and the 15 to work , now I have a 30 minute walk to my next bus stop and take 3 buses instead of 2

  4. Many USF students live around the Morris Bridge area and take route 57 which would be about 27 mins to the Marshall Student Center. Now using google maps based on the instructions provided on this website, on the effective date route 57 will be gone and it will now take 1hr 30mins to get to campus which is only 8 miles away! Is there a better solution to this? This will not be efficient for the many even hundred students that take this route daily.

  8. I work at two Universities - the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa. From my house, I use North Boulevard and Country Club Dr (Stops 4316 and 4272, respectively) to get home.

I used the updated google maps app and saw the the routes I now have to take, 33 and 1, add roughly ten minutes of walking time, not to mention crossing certain roads in areas that don't have crosswalks near the bus stops.

What an absolute sham of an improvement. I look forward to being an irritant and outspoken annoyance to the Hillsborough MPO and Hillsborough Area Regional Transit after all my years of support to you.

  9. sucks, completely sucks. went from one bus by my house straight to work. Now I have to walk over a 1/2 mile and take two buses. Looks like added time too. In short need to find a different way to get to work. Bike here I come. Thanks HART!

  10. First of all... IS ABOUT DANG GONE TIME. Hartline change the bus schedule! 12 years later. But Florida is slow down hear. Oh great right when getting use to the Bus numbers for a (short time) they want to change it to Scientific or Algebra Bus route #24X, 32LX, COME ON!! All ya'll have to do was keep the numbers the same, and change the TIME. Change from every hour to 10-15min. Like Why all these LX LOL Looking like T-shirt sizes or Rated movies! Had to be a Geek/ millionaire in the "Corp World" desighn this. Glad Hartline upgraded!LOL

  13. This whole change is dumb I ride the 16 to the 7 every day for work and now that you took the 7 away I have to walk 30 minutes down Anderson just to get to work on time past Sligh. My girlfriend and I and her kids usually take the 45 to University mall which is a straight one bus shot now we have to take 3 buses just to get there. And the amount of mentally disabled passengers that these buses have who is going to explain to them to that the bus that they take may not be there when they think it's supposed to be there. Hart says that they talked to the public but they never talked to the people like me and my girlfriend who ride these buses everyday.

  16. I am very disappointed about: Hart no longer going to Crisis Center, Bearss location, which offers much needed services to survivors of sexual assault and other types of trauma. I ask that this be reconsidered.
Also, are patrons going to USF automatically eligible for Bull Runner services now that Hart no longer goes on campus?

  17. same here the bus 7 runs on block and gets me directly to and from work in 15 mins , with this new change i now have to catch two buses( one to sheldon then come back down waters and still walk 16 mins to work Or wak straight from home which is a 45 min wak , this is horrible.

  18. Route 30 has changed from my downtown office in the County Center. I use to go to Marion street one block away. Yesterday I walked 5 blocks to find a 30 stop. Do I need to find a new bus route or stop using the bus??

  20. We are planning to introduce the 275LX, which provides Limited Express service from the USF area to Tampa International Airport. Depending on funding, the service would begin operating in October 2018.

  21. Hart- do you see anyone commending you on any of your so called "more efficient" changes?! Absolutely not! Whom ever you hired to empliment these changes, made the final decision in all these be.... Needs to be fired quicker than it took to hire them! I mean seriously, did anyone actually compare the previous travel times & transfers to the current travel times & transfers?! Bc if this is some kind of joke its REALLY NOT FUNNY!!! NOT IN THE LEAST!!! MY SUGGESTION: Go back to the previous bus times/ fired all the dumbasses involved in this change & really go out on to the streets of Tampa Bay & get real suggestions from transit riders around USF,SUITCASE CITY, Sulfur Springs, behind University mall, downtown Tampa, citrus park, t-n-c, mango, seffner, any low income/ business & historical districts, major shopping centers & all schools from pre-k to major universities, even the small independent or private institutions... And actually use it bc these ppl r who pay your bills fix those buses & fund/ keep these buses & business afloat. Not random ppl who own more cars then there r ppl in there home... Hire some ppl who actually always ride hartline or have no choice but to ride the bus... There the ones whose opinions should matter most. Don't you agree? If not, you are SAD!!

  22. Pretty cool, I didn't know about that function! Could be helpful for future trips as well. I want to go to Australia this year, as my horoscope told me to be more adventurous. But I always have to plan things exactly and I love to use Google Maps for that :') I will try this feature, thanks :)
