Mission MAX Bus Stop Bagging: What it Means

Orange bags will inform patrons of service changes to their stop
The HART system will drastically change in less than two weeks!

HART staff Mission MAX training is almost complete, operators have selected their runs, maps and other signage has been finalized, and now bus stop removal and replacement is taking place!

Have you seen an orange bag over your bus stop sign?

This means service will be changing at that location.

Routes serving the stop may be changing, such as that in the photo. Or, HART service may be in the process of being removed from that stop altogether.

All stops with route changes/replacements will have the orange bags removed in the early morning hours of October 8th. Deleted stops will have orange bags on them until the stop is completely removed.

We want to give a quick shout out to our Route Maintenance team! With the majority of the 3500 stops in the HART system affected, they are working tirelessly to make sure our riders are notified well in advance of the launch of Mission MAX on October 8th.

We recently went LIVE on Facebook with a couple members of the Maintenance team to talk more about the bus stops changes.

While the launch of Mission MAX is fast approaching, HART is here to make sure you are prepared with trip planning, finding your stop, and more! Find us on Facebook and Twitter, or contact HART Customer Service at 813-254-4278.

We will also be hosting a Facebook Live Q&A with HART CEO Katharine Eagan on next Monday, October 2nd, at noon.

Visit www.goHART.org/MissionMAX for more information on Mission MAX, including maps, schedules, etc.

  1. Hello and good morning. This change you guys are making should not happend. This change inturups many people life time. Allot of people depend to work, grocery shopping, pay bills and much more so why make it harder for others who depends on there self. Makes no sense. Please don't change these routes. There5is alot of us that can not make it to the meeting due to work policy of missing days. Do not change these routes. This is not good for me or others. Thank You! God bless you.

    1. What is your starting point and typical destination? We can try and find a suitable option for you.

  2. So does that mean after 10/8, if the stop is still orange bagged, there won't be service there anymore? As in, go to another bus stop?

    1. Correct. Any bus stop with an orange bag now, is slated for elimination.

  3. I am curious as to why routes 60x and 360x do not go down the Marion transit way yet you claim they are the replacement for the deleted route 27lx. The whole point of taking an express or limited express instead of driving is for convenience. Replacing a bus that goes downtown with one that doesn't even stop downtown is not a replacement - it's simply doing away with that route all together.

  8. Why did you remove route 57? My daughter needs a ride to school, college and USF. She will graduate high school in 2018. She lives by Temple Terrace Highway and Davis RD. Please send the bus back so she can ride to schools.. She has to walk to another bua stop, but it takes an hour and half for her to walk. People who ride the buses spend a lot of money on fares but you want to screw them up and make them stress.

  9. For two days in a row, I had to ride buses an hour and a half longer than usual. Now that the transit stops like Yukon and West Tampa Transit Center are gone, there is no place to stop and use a restroom. When I went to work today, people were late because of Mission Max.
