Extended Streetcar Service During Tampa Bay Lightning Games

HART is the thunder all season long!  The TECO Line Streetcar will have extended service during all Tampa Bay Lightning games.

With over 20,000 fans converging on Amalie Arena, the TECO Line Streetcar System offers a low cost and convenient way to avoid all the game traffic in downtown.  Park in any of the Ybor City garages and ride the streetcar, which drops off right behind Amalie Arena!

Coming from the West?

Park in the Fort Brooke Garage located on Franklin St. and Whiting St., Whiting Station is directly across the street from the garage.

Not going to the game?  Anyone can take advantage of this later service to get around Downtown Tampa, the Channel District and Ybor City!

Ticket Vending Machines  are located at every station

Know before you go:
  • The streetcar costs $2.50 per ride and $5.00 all day. We offer a family pass, which is allows up to 2 adults and 3 children, or 1 adult and 4 children to ride all day for $12.50. Discount passes are available for youth 5-17, ages 65+, and those with disabilities.
  • Streetcar Motormen do not provide change. Please use the ticket vending machine located at the station if you do not have exact change or are paying with a debit/credit card.
  • Streetcar service will operate until the Tampa Bay Lightning games have ended, with one last trip immediately following the game.

  1. Come on HART get a clue the streetcar is a joke, it doesnt go anywhere... What if you need to get back to plant city after a hockey game? You should look at other cities transit programs cause i've lived in several cities and your transit program is the worst

  2. Plant City opted out of HART service, that is currently why we only serve the fringe of Plant City with one Commuter Express route.

  6. Will the streetcar be running late after other events at Amalie Arena, such as the Tom Petty concert this coming Sunday evening?

  7. The TECO Line Streetcar System will currently not be extending service to other events at Amalie Arena that occur Sunday-Thursday. The TECO Line Streetcar System currently operates until 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

We hope to be able to provide additional service for these events in the future.

  11. I love the idea of TECO Line Streetcar System extended service during all Tampa Bay Lightning games. This is very useful for all commuters to has alternative and reliable transportation to them. The best options to use during tours, very comfortable.

  12. How long will the street car be running after the lightning game. Will I have time to walk out of the arena and get to the street car station. Something I read said it would be running only 15 minutes after the game?!

    1. Streetcar service will operate roughly 15 minutes following the end of the game. However, weekday service does not end until 10 p.m. Typical Lightning games end around 9:30 p.m., leaving plenty of time to get to the station behind the Arena.

We will not leave anyone stranded.

We provide extended service for those that may find themselves delayed following the game.
